Members of the LDI Pioneer Network gather on our last day of the Network Launch at St. Mary's, Dorchester.

Welcome to September! LDI has been hard at work already, throwing one of our largest training events in mid August, This Is What the Church Is Made for: Embracing the Prophetic Way with Rev. Alexia Salvatierra. Joining with our co-sponsors, Life Together, Episcopal City Mission, the Mission Institute, the Diocese of Massachusetts, and Episcopal Divinity School, we trained 110 people in the basic of Faith-Rooted Organizing!

LDI spent a second day with Alexia with our Flagship facilitators and members of the LDI Pioneer Network to learn how to Build Effective Diverse Teams. Key learnings and material from both days of training will be incorporated into our Flagship curriculum as well as be the basis for the launch of our Faith-Rooted Organizing track of training and local action. We also spent dedicated time on a third day of training in Launching the LDI Pioneer Network. We had pioneers (and potential pioneers) from Dallas, Alabama, Tennessee, and even Australia!

Putting on 3 intensive days of training was only possible with the addition of new members to the LDI staff team. We are thrilled that Life Together alumni Lydia Strand and Seth Woody have joined us as our new Director of Contemplative Programming and Lead Organizer, respectively!

God is definitely at work making a new thing and we want to hear how God is moving in your community and context so get in touch with us to see how we can partner!
